Good morning Patti!

I seen you were burning the midnite oil as I seen you were online. I just joined the Ozarks Weather Fans in just the last couple weeks.

I noticed you did Net Control for Green and Webster counties,
I do the Net Control for Jasper Co. and surrounding areas,
and have for close to 15 yrs, most recently in a affiliation
with the MOKANEP Group. Tim Frazier and Marshal Graham
are also in the group as well. The are also Ozark Weather Fans.

We have our weekly nets on thursday nights on the 145.350
repeater in Joplin, which is also linked to the 146.64 there
in Springfield and I believe the PL tone is 100.

I talk to NØUAM Jim and KE7ABH David up there quite
often, them and all the staff at NWS SGF, Steve Runnels,
Doug Cramer to name a couple, have been very helpful
in giving us heads up on upcoming severe weather events.

Our group has a web site mokanep.com, you are welcome to check out. By the way I forgot to mention our nets on thursday nights are at 8pm and you would be welcomed to check in.

I am new to this site and note familiar with how they do the chats and when they do them.

This will be my 20th yr going to spotter classes put on
by SGF NWS. Still sounds a little windy outside, will let you go for now Have a Good Morning 73s Dwayne NØSZP

kd0dnh my daughter Cicely is getting married Sunday. Wouldn't you know it... Gustav is paying a visit in the middle of getting the cakes baked and last minute sewing done.

Sadly, received a phone call yesterday that my dear Sister died. Lots of mixed emotions and emotionally and physically unavailable to help with Skywarn this week. Two spotters down but we will bounce back!

oh, man, that is one for the books. thanks for admiring
the two remaining pups. they came from a litter of six.
one passed at three weeks, the other three disappeared
on july 4. still don't know what has happened to them.
the last two are up for adoption. if you know of anyone
please let me know ok?, i also have a couple of cats
that are in need of good homes. city issued a mandate
about how many animals a person can have outside on
their property. i think that is buulllooonnneeeyyy.
they can't even control the dropoffs and the runaways
much less match lost pets with their owners.
do you g-mail or instant message. would love to have
you on one of my chat lines. i also have another web
site just for pet lovers, caregivers and the ever so im-
portant pet owners. don't matter if it is a horse cow or
your ever squeeky hamster.

Just Back from TESSA

Wow what a trip!

I learned so much at the National Storm Conference I fear my head will burst! Fascinating and extremely educational presentations. Steve and I learned a great deal about thermodynamics, and saw presentations by Dr. Charles Doswell III who wrote the spotter handbooks and Les Limon who was instrumental in the development and implementation of the doppler radar. Martin did a great job recruiting presenters this year. Amazing the whole day except for the food was free!

While in Te… Continue
