More About Me:
Dreams do come true. I know because I'm living my childhood dream. I grew up in a very small town in Indiana named Veedersburg. I've had a fascination with weather as far back as I can remember to my days as a 4 year old boy that watched storms from my living room window. I was so intrigued by what was going on but at the same time so scared watching these storms to a point that tears would run down my face from being frightened, but nothing could tear me away from watching these storms no matter how scared I might have been. Soon the fear turned into pure passion for the love of weather. I would constantly monitor other TV station forecasts and I always looked forward to the days that would bring bad weather to my area.

I became a weather watcher for a TV station in Indianapolis where I gave daily reports when I was 11. As a young teen I picked up the hobby of storm chasing. As soon as I got my drivers license the sky, no pun intended, was the limit. Let's just say Mom and Dad's Grand Am had its fair share of hail damage from my storm chasing expeditions. As I got older I became a storm spotter for the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. I would constantly chase storms and even tornadoes throughout the Midwest with a camera in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. I also received my Ham Radio operators license so that I could talk to other fellow storm spotters, call sign KC9BVA.

My other love was broadcasting and at the age of 17 I started work at WRHK 94.9 fm as a DJ on the air which I did for 5 years. I attended Vincennes University where I was the morning show host for another radio station 91.1 WVUB and also the weather anchor for the 5pm news on local PBS station WVUT. I received my Associates degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting from Vincennes University. I then got my first real job doing the weather on TV in Terre Haute at CBS station WTHI channel 10. I spent nearly 3 1/2 years there as a weather anchor/reporter/photographer. While working at WTHI I also attended Indiana State University where I received my Bachelors degree in Physical Geography with a minor in climatology and emphasis in meteorology. Needless to say I kept busy between 18 credit hours of school and 40 hours of work a week. My next job was at WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky where I was the morning meteorologist and storm chaser. I then did fill-in weather for WRTV Channel 6 in Indianapolis, yes that is the same station that I was a weather watcher for when I was in elementary school!

I am a member of both the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA) and I hold the NWA seal of approval.

In my spare time I enjoy playing nearly any sport as I am very competitive, but I really like basketball and tennis. Go Cubs, Go Bears, Go Pacers! I also love going to actual sporting events. I enjoy new movies, restaurants, playing cards, music, working out, meeting new people, and spending time with my Beagle named Wrigley.

Now as the Chief Meteorologist at KSPR, I am ecstatic to now call the Ozarks my home. I look forward to the challenge of forecasting the always changing weather this area offers. You can catch my forecasts Sunday-Thursday at 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 10pm.

Kevin, Hey if you have some Technical Knowledge, feel free to msg me here or Email, IM or Text me, how via the Ozarks Weather Fans site do we keep the Ads from popping up on the Radar? I am sometimes now unable to view the Radar for very long. We just recently had some PC Issues, I assumed the PC had to be taken into the shop & cleaned but, we had to Redownload Yahoo, via Yahoo IM it kept Booting us quite frequently & after the Redownload, we had some Upgrades to do.
