Roger & Me, Bowling For Columbine, Farenheit 911 (the truth is funny and it hurts!).
The Incredibles, Toy Story I & II, Monsters Inc, Ants, A Bug's Life, and other animated features that are often better written and wittier than most contemporary 'people films' (IMHO....)

Sunday Night Football & Monday Night Football
Hockey Night In Canada (of course!)
CSI, Law& Order.
The Naked Truth.

(but not much new stuff that is on TV these days!!)
Favorite Bands:
The Tragically Hip (THE penultimate Canadian rock band...quirky, loud, intelligent lyrics, and they rock hard without becoming cheesy)

the wit & tongue-in-cheek social satire of Cracker (NOT the rap artist)

Matthew Sweet, Gin Blossoms, Sloan, Foo Fighters, and other power-pop
Green Day, Weezer, and some other punk-pop.
The Verve, The Charlatans, early Oasis and a lot of Brit Rock from the 60's to the present.

Chris Tomlin, Matt Redmann, Delirious?, Hillsongs, and other contemporary Christian rock/pop.
Downhere (great Canadian contemporary Christian rock!)

I'm soooo in love with Allison Krauss!!!!

Blue Rodeo (fantastic Canadian country-rock & better than Wilco!)
The Eagles.

early Chicago (up to Chicago XII)

Most blues music (especially SRV! or anything with the Hammon B3 organ in it!)
Most jazz music except sleepy boring 'light jazz' (I especially love late 50's, early 60's Blue Note artists, plus John Scofield & Pat Metheny)

Gordon Lightfoot & Neil Young (more Canadian content! Woo hoo!)

Baroque classical, World Music, & WindamHill New Age stuff.

FYI, I have lost all respect for Rap (except some old-school stuff).

Lotsa folk, bluegrass, and some country music.

Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Live, Stone Temple Pilots, and other artists who saved music from eternal mediocrity during the Grunge-era.

And all sorts of classic rock of course!!!
Favorite Sports Teams:
Montreal Canadiens (that's "ice hockey" for you southerners! LOL!)

Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts.
(I vehemently dislike the Cowboys. Don't even mention them! LOL!)

Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, New York Mets
Where Do You Work?
Teach High School. l have taught Chemistry, Physics, Earth&Space Science (all the geeky stuff!!!) for 22 years....and it shows! LOL! ;-)
What Is Your Favorite Type Of Weather?
Thunderstorms
What Do You Like The Most About KSPR Weather?
Their ability to communicate and interact with the public, efficient use of available technology, willingness to answer questions on the forum, and the wonderful general friendliness of the meteorologists and all the forum members! Heck..they even politely laugh at my jokes! ;-)
More About Me:
Play guitar in Praise&Worship Band at my church, otherwise lots of singing & celebrating in the congregation, and I have dabbled in writing/recording original material.

I believe that cheese should be it's own food-group.

I enjoy photography (as if you couldn't tell ! LOL!) but haven't done much in last few years....gotta get back to it a.s.a.p.

A real music geek (another serious addiction of mine...) Used to play trumpet, trombone, piano, bass guitar...all adequately.

I'm an avid amateur astronomer (Yes indeed folks, the geekiness never ends!)

I'm fascinated by severe weather! I've never seen an actual tornado touching down, but witnessed some close-call funnel-clouds. I wish I could win 20 million dollars, quit my job, and then storm-chase all the time!

I want to be reincarnated as Keith Urban and marry Nicole Kidman!......or even Allison Krauss! Or both! (but I'd have to move to Waco, TX to marry both!!! LOL!)

Here's Proof that it doesn't have to be a tornado for severe-weather to kill...

On a Friday or Saturday night you will find this building surrounded by local musicians sharing their art. You will think you have walked into a Norman Rockwell painting. It is a beautiful community located in a very beautiful part of the state. A definite place to visit if you want to step into Americana as it was meant to be.

Here's a look upstream along the Buffalo River at Tyler Bend. Admittedly, the colors were not naturally this intense. I chose to go sky high with the saturation to emphasize the reflections.
