On a Whim of Motivation

This image is the result of spontaneous creativity and motivation. While sitting on the couch in my pajamas, watching television, I decided that tonight would be a great star photo opportunity. Not taking the time to change clothes, I put on a ski cap and pair of gloves, grabbed the essentials(cable release, tripod, flashlight, and an extra battery) and headed to my backyard. This shot is acutally two images stiched together in Photoshop. I enjoy combining techniques I have learned over the years. Here we have light painting, panorama, and night photography all mixed into one final composition. Oh what fun it was!
